Inspired Farmers started as a group of people interested in learning and sharing information about vegetable gardening. Over the course of the last three months, we have transformed into a community group with the goal of demonstrating to the community how easy it can be to grow your own food.

Our intent is the engage the community through social media, workshops and demonstration gardens and, now, our new website.

With this new website, we hope to reach out to our community here on Prince Edward Island and beyond to provide information on urban farming, vegetable gardening, and community engagement. Of course, we will also use it to keep you informed about the workshops we will be offering to the public over the coming months as well as the projects we are planning (more to come soon).

We felt, from the onset, that having a large presence on social media outlets and online was an important piece of any project that strove to reach out to the community. We understand that with people’s busy lives, they may not be able to commit to coming to public meetings, workshops or volunteering with our group. Thus, we will use this website as a means of engaging the community to provide detailed updates and information on our projects so that you can take ownership over our projects, learn for your own projects, as well as share with other communities the process that we undertook to get these projects off the ground.

Inspired Farmers is a community group based in Charlottetown, PEI. Through workshops, demonstration gardens and media, we strive to demonstrate to the community the ways we can grow food, improve health and take control over our well being.
